Fiamme Oro Sports Group
Fiamme oro, the sports group of the Polizia di Stato, was created in 1954 as a result of an agreement between the Ministry of the Interior and the Italian National Olympic Committee (CONI). The institutional goal of the sports group is to maintain and promote sport at a competitive level, especially among young people, in order to increase the number of top level athletes at a national level. Fiamme Oro sports group includes 39 disciplines and 9 National training centres. Our athletes have been in the winners lists of innumerable sports contests in Italy and abroad, including 77 Olympic medallists.
