In his speech at the plenary session, Prefect Pansa focused on the serious terrorist challenge that vulnerable communities are facing in many European countries. In particular, he referred to the Jewish communities being targeted by hate and intolerance, that are amplified by the online radicalization of a growing number of people.

The Italian Police Chief also stressed the need for the European police to present a united front against this threat, adopting a modern and multidisciplinary approach, through a continuous and productive dialogue with the communities at risk.

Europol Director Rob Wainwright agreed on the importance of encouraging interaction between vulnerable communities and the police, and announced that Europol will soon organize a forum for the Jewish communities and EU Member State's police agencies.
